BAB. The company

BAB Distribution GmbH was founded in 2011. With managing partners Murat Arpaci and Andreas Bajohr, the company is led by two „old hands“ in the IT distribution business. Other shareholders are Olaf Biemelt and Wortmann Beteiligungs GmbH.

The company was founded as a further component of the Wortmann group of companies (group turnover over 2 billion euros). Since then, BAB Distribution has not only been working in close cooperation with Wortmann AG (with annual sales of over 900 million, Wortmann AG is one of Europe’s leading independent IT manufacturers), but can also draw on the synergies of an entire group. Such as, among others, its own leasing or financing company.

Within a very short time, BAB has earned a name for itself as a competent and cooperative storage distributor in the field of IT distribution on the European IT market. In addition to the distribution agreement with Toshiba for their storage products (internal and external hard drives, SSDs and flash products), a distribution agreement was signed with Seagate for their external Samsung hard drives. A focus sub-distribution partnership for the internal Western Digital hard drives was also achieved with Western Digital. BAB is now one of the top-selling storage distributors in Europe.

The headquarters of BAB Distribution GmbH is Hüllhorst, until April 2014 the BAB office building was located in Bünde Ennigloh. In May 2014, the company moved to its own building in Löhne / Mennighüffen. Here are more than 1000m² office and more than 5200m² warehouse.
